Hello! I’m Ana

If I were ground up like coffee beans, I’d be a mix of art, order, and refined imperfection. I lose time in daydreams, yet organize my life to a T. And somehow the art I create—essay, story, watercolor, social carousel, or other—feels complete when it reaches a perfect-imperfect state… like a rusty pink.

I grew up in PA, completed a double BA in English and Music, and am pursuing graduate education in professional counseling. I write from faith in a loving Creator, but you are welcome here even if that’s not a belief you hold.

Just a little life has convinced me that no matter where you start, between you and God, a dream can be in your hands.

I know a thing or two about what it takes to get there. I’ve lost close ones, faced a debilitating sickness, and grieved a broken engagement days before the wedding. I know what it’s like to have years of dreams razed to the earth.

I also know what it’s like to heal… so deeply that dreams emerge like old seeds safe enough to pop their heads above the soil. I’ve done the therapy, read the books, listened to podcasts, made friends, and found the rhythms for dreaming and strategies for building dreams.

More than that, I moved to Green Street, a stepping stone into healing: a rock so wide and steady that my heart not only settled, but my mind reached for the sky again. No matter where my dreams take me, Green Street is where they began.

Your dreams can come true… I believe that with my whole heart.

Please note: this blog reflects my personal experiences and is intended for education and general encouragement—it is not a substitute for individualized mental health care, and interacting with this site does not establish a counselor-client relationship. If you’re struggling, please reach out to a licensed therapist or a crisis line in your area.

WHY A BLOG?

Words have been my oldest and dearest friend. From toddler scribbles at the seashore to fairytale attempts in my undergraduate program to the essay-like blog I launched at a ministry, words have kept me company.

I hope mine keep you company too—make yourself at home.
